Mr. Hendrikus Leusink of Hull passed away Sunday afternoon, March 10, 1968, at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 26 days. He had been in good health until Sunday morning when he apparently suffered a stroke. He was taken to the Orange City hospital, where he died during the afternoon hours.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, with a short prayer service at 1:15 p.m. in the basement, and at 1:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Reformed Church of Hull. Rev. David C. Ter Beest will officiate. Special music will be furnished by Mrs. Willis Brouwer and Mrs. Harold Koele singing "God Be With You" and "Sweet By and By," accompanied by Mrs. V. De Jongh.

Interment will be made in Hope Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, namely, Delmar Wesselink, Harlan Wesselink, David Wesselink, John Schoep, Clayton De Jongh and Dennis De Jongh. Kraai Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hendrikus Leusink was born in the Netherlands October 13, 1879. At the age of three years he came to Sioux County where he resided since.

Mr. Leusink was united in marriage to Lucy Hymans in 1898. She preceded him in death in 1940. To this union six children were born: Grace, Mrs. Gerrit De Jongh, of Lakewood, Calif.; Dora, Mrs. Dan Wesselink, of Hull; Gerrit John, deceased; Henrietta, Mrs. Jake Van Surksum, of Bellflower, California; Louzina, deceased; and Hyman, deceased. They also had 11 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

On June 4, 1943, Mr. Leusink was united in marriage to Mrs. Ben Leusink. She survives, along with nine step children, 34 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters: Mrs. Hattie Bomgaars of Orange City and Mrs. Henry Te Grotenhuis of Hospers.

Mr. Leusink was engaged in farming for many years, retiring in 1947, when he moved into the town of Hull. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hull, and despite his advanced years, was a very regular attendant.

The Leusink family has requested this short verse in loving memory of their father who passed away so suddenly last Sunday:

He bade no one a last farewell
He bade goodbye to none
His loving heart had ceased to beat
Before we knew that he was gone
We never thought that on that day
Our loved one would be called away
For all of us he did his best
Until God took him home to rest.
