Gerrit Zyp

Gerrit Zyp was born in Wijdenes, Holland on May 18, 1867 and passed from this, life at the age of 73 years, 11 months, and 25 days old on May 11, 1941 at his home in Rock Valley.
Mr. Zyp came to America in 1894 coming to Rock Valley where he has since made his home up to the time of his death. Gerrit Zyp was married to Miss Hendrika Rozeboom, March 24, 1906, and she preceded him in death on May 6, 1929. No immediate relatives survive.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H.J. Aberson of the First Ref. Church at the home at 1 P.M., on Tuesday and burial was made beside his wife in Valley View cemetery.
