Mrs. Johannes Zwiers

Funeral services for Mrs. Johannes Zwiers, a longtime resident of Sioux Center, will be held Friday, June 17, at 1:30 at Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home with Rev. B. Haan officiating. Arrangements will be under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral Service of Sioux Center with burial in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery.
Mrs. Johannes Zwiers nee Fannie Geerling passed away early Tuesday morning at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. She was taken there Sunday afternoon after she suffered a heart attack. She had reached the age of 91 years and one day.
Mrs. Zwiers was united in marriage to Johannes Zwiers on October 1st, 1885. Mr. Zwiers preceded her on April 13, 1946. The following children survive: Berdena, Mrs. Henry Ten Harmsel, Hudsonville, Mich.; Mrs. Jennie Calkhoven of Sioux Center; Albert of Hawarden; Gerrit and Johanna, Mrs. Herman Roelofs of Lynden, Wash.; Fannie, Mrs. Tony Van Zanten of Rock Valley and Henry of Ashton.
She is further survived by 21 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. One sister and 4 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Zwiers had made her home in Sioux Center for 28 years and was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church.
