Funeral Services for Daniel Zwiep to be Held Today

Daniel Zwiep, 72, passed away in the Sioux Center hospital after suffering another stoke on August 1, 1955. He had been a semi-invalid since January 1, 1951.
He was born in Rotterdam, Holland. There as a youth, he studied the carpenter trade. Shortly after the turn of the century, he came to Sioux County. Satisfied with his choice of a new homeland he shortly became a naturalized citizen. In the town of Hull, he practiced his carpenter trade until 1951. He was a member of the 1st Reformed Church of Hull for over 50 years. He was united in marriage to Patronelia De Stigter. On March 5 of this year, they celebrated their 47th anniversary.
Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his death seven children, Cecil of Bellflower, Calif.; Helen (Mrs. Richard Schultz) of Chicago, Illinois; Marie (Mrs. John Mears) of Sioux City, Iowa; Tunis of Bellflower, Calif.; Leonard of Hull, Iowa; Jeanette (Mrs. Charles Reed) of Waterloo, Iowa; and Donald of Fort Collins, Colorado; 18 grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters. His immediate family were all able to be with him at the time of his passing.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 at the home and 1:30 at the 1st Reformed Church with the Rev. Wayne Lemmen officiating.
In announcing the death of Mr. Daniel Zwiep, the family of the deceased made known that the body will be in state at the First Reformed Church of Hull from 10:30 to 12:00 Thursday morning (today).
