Fred Grunnagle, who has lived in the northwest part of the county for almost half a century, died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Mohlman, in Portland Township, aged about 82 years. Mr. Grunnagle farmed in Portland and Preston townships for many years, retiring to their home in Chatsworth about 20 years ago. Since the death of his wife, Agatha Wiands Grunnagle, three or four years ago Mr. Grunnagle has lived with the daughter, Mrs. Mohlman. He is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Adolph Schuster, who lives in Portland, and a son, Herman, who is town marshal in Mapleton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday in Chatsworth and burial will be beside his wife in the Ireton Cemetery. Reverend Fred Meske of Trinity Lutheran Church, Akron, officiated.

DEATH CLAIMS FRED GRUNNAGLE

Fred Grunnagle of Chatsworth, who was well known in Ireton, passed away Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Mohlman, and funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church in Chatsworth Monday afternoon.

Those from Ireton who attended the funeral were Mrs. H.H. Braaks and son Carl, Mrs. George Johnson, Mrs. Louisa Kluter, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Holtdorf, Mr. and Mrs. B. Muilenburg, Mrs. F.J. Gronemeyer, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Popken and Mr. and Mrs. J. Siebels of Wentworth, South Dakota.
