For the past twelve years, Mrs. Gronwold had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. A.H. Suffering with heart trouble and other complications, she suddenly passed away on Monday morning of this week, having reached the age of 67 years, 11 months and 22 days.

Mrs. Gronwold, nee Putnam was born on August 1, 1867, at Elkader, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Putnam, her parents, moved to a homestead between Hull and George where she lived as a small child. She received her education in the Hull Academy, and later taught in various schools in this territory. Later she was united to C. Gronwold, and they moved to Seattle, Washington, where they lived a short time and then moved to Matlock, Iowa. Later Mrs. Gronwold and her two daughters moved to Hull, where she made her home until she moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.H. Schlossin.

Besides a host of friends and relatives, she leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Mrs. J.C. Wieman and Mrs. A.H. Schlossin; three grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, namely Mrs. E.C. Weir of Hull, Mrs. Frank Plowman of Spring Point, Canada, A.A. Putnam of Sioux City and Chas Putnam of San Diego, California; also an aunt, Mrs. Angie Donovan of Sheldon.
