Rites were held at Hospers Monday morning for Ralph P. Haag, a brother of Carl Haag of Alton, who died May 31st at Spokane, Washington where he went in 1942.

Reverend John Thoennissen officiated the Requiem Mass at St. Anthony Church, with burial in the parish cemetery after the Mass, and military rites in charge of the American Legion.

Mr. Haag was born August 11, 1891 at Hospers and had reached the age of 63 years. He lived in the Hospers vicinity until leaving in 1942 for Spokane, Washington, where he had since been employed. He is a veteran of the First World War. He was unmarried.

Survivors are his aged mother, Mrs. Magdalene Haag of Sheldon and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Bertha Larsen of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Gertrude Rager and Mrs. Carrie Sweeney of Sioux City, Nathan Haag of Elsinore, California, Jesse Haag of Sheldon, Carl Haag of Alton and Eugene of Sioux City.

Thursday morning Carl Haag of Alton and Jesse Haag of Sheldon will leave by car for Spokane to take care of their late brother’s interest there.
