Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Hospers at 10:30 A.M. August 20 for John Haack, Sr., of Sioux Center, who died August 17 at the Sheldon Hospital.

Services were conducted by the Reverend R. Groenhout and burial was made in Hospers Cemetery with Vander Ploeg’s Funeral Home of Sioux Center in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Haack was born in The Netherland April 22, 1881 and came to the U.S. in 1905. He married Romkje Talsma March 5, 1908, at Primghar. She died December 1, 1964.

Survivors include three sons, John and James, both of Hospers and Clarence of Primghar; a daughter, Mrs. Bryan (Tillie) Haugan of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Anje Kits of The Netherlands; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
