Paul H. Groeneweg, 66, of Rock Valley died Wednesday, June 4, at his home following a short illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 in the First Christian Reformed Church with the Reverend Leonard Van Drunen officiating. Mrs. Jake Gostra organist, accompanied the congregation during hymns “Jesus, Lover of My Soul,” and “God is Our Refuge.”

Pallbearers were Harold Boer, Courtney Elbers, William, Richard, Willis and John C. Groeneweg. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home.

Mr. Groeneweg was born October 7, 1902 in Middleburg, Iowa. He married Margaret Ruys on September 16, 1920 in Orange City.

Survivors are his widow, Margaret of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; one daughter, Mrs. William Dunlap of Park Forest, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Boer of Rock Valley, and Mrs. Henry Elbers of Alvord; four brothers, John, Peter and Richard of Hull and Joe of Rock Valley; and six grandchildren.
