Mrs. Grietje “Grace” Takens Groen, 83, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 1942 at the County Home after a few weeks illness.

The sole survivor is the daughter Mrs. N. Aardema of Sioux Center at whose home the funeral service was held Saturday. Interment was made in the Memory Gardens Sioux Center Cemetery, Sioux Center, Sioux County, Iowa.

Note: Her husband’s name was listed as Mr. Gurt Groen.
