From the Boyden Reporter, March 30, 1922:

C. H. SNELL PASSED AWAY ON MONDAY

Mr. Chas. H. Snell, a former resident of Boyden, but of late of Little Rock, Iowa, passed away at Little Rock on Monday morning, March 20 at 10 o'clock. Funeral services for the deceased [were] held on Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the Little Rock cemetery. Mr. Snell was some 60 years of age and had suffered considerably the past few months, having had a stroke of paralysis. He is quite well known here, and occupied the rooms over the Stutzman drug store for some time, which still contain his furniture, etc. He leaves a wife, two sons and a daughter to mourn his death. Benjamin, the eldest son, came to Boyden last Thursday and shipped his trunk and clothes.
