Mr. Loren Meyer, age 53, of Hull, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

There will be a funeral service on Friday, February 3, at 10:00am, at the First Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. Kevin Yurk will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Hope Cemetery in Hull. Visitation will be after 5:00pm on Thursday, with the family present from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at the CHURCH.

Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Hull.

Loren Dale was born on April 28, 1963, in Sioux Center, the son of Wilfred John and Carol Joan (De Wild) Meyer. He was raised at Hull, where he graduated from the Boyden-Hull High School. He then farmed with his parents at Hull.

On July 6, 1989, he married Starla Kay Mulder at the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. They made their home on the family farm, where they raised crops and had a dairy herd. Later, he owned and operated Double M Trucking with his sons.

Loren was a member of the First Reformed Church in Hull, where he served as an usher and a youth sponsor. He enjoyed bowling and coaching and watching his sons play baseball.

Survivors include his wife of more than 27 years; his two sons and their wives, Joseph and Maggie Meyer and Paul and Katie Meyer, all of Hull; his grandson, Hudson Meyer; his mother, Carol Meyer, of Hull; his sister and her husband, LaDonna and Mark Rodvold, of Watertown, South Dakota; and his mother-in-law, Nelvina Mulder, of Orange City.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, John and Jeanette De Wild, and John and Emma Meyer; and his father-in-law, Harry Mulder.
