On Sunday. September 9th, little Avis, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philander E. and Eliza (Graves) Granger, of cholera infant, age about ten months.

The little one was taken ill on Thursday and continued to grow worse very rapidly and passed away Sunday afternoon. She was a bright baby and was the pet and idol of her parents and brothers and sisters.

“Tis hard to part with loved ones even though we have had years of warning to prepare for the separation, but to have them taken from us so suddenly makes it a much heavier burden.

The funeral took place Tuesday morning and a large concourse of sympathizing friends followed the remains to their last resting place.
