From the Rock Valley Bee, March 31, 1922:

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dearborn mourn the death of their two-months old little girl who died Monday morning [March 27]. Funeral services were held at the home in Rock Valley, conducted by Rev. Kuiper of the Christian Reformed church, Tuesday afternoon. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.

From the Alton Democrat April 1, 1922: Rock Valley news:

The infant two months old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dearborn died Monday morning. It had been sorely afflicted ever since its birth, but its little tendrils had entwined themselves about the hearts of the parents, but God saw fit to transplant the little flower from the eden below to the eden above. Funeral services occurred Tuesday afternoon at the home of G. H. Vugteveen conducted by Rev. H. Kuiper pastor of the Christian Reformed church in the presence of many sympathizing friends after which its remains were deposited in [the] last home of man, in Valley View cemetery. The parents and relatives have the sympathy of their friends.
