Death: February 6, 1920Annie Kerten (daughter of Peter Kerten), was born in Prussia on April 24, 1852. She immigrated to USA in 1871 and married her husband Jacob Giefer in Ohio in 1873. They had 8 children and then moved to Iowa.
She died of bronchitis and other complications at her home on Franklin Street in Le Mars. Buried on February 10, 1920 at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hospers, Sioux County, Iowa. Her husband Jacob died of an illness only 13 days after she died.
