From the Boyden Reporter, December 22, 1921:

Mrs. B. Vos, mother of Mrs. J. M. Balster, passed away at the home of her daughter in Boyden last Saturday night [Dec. 17]. Funeral services for the deceased were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Reformed church in Hull, of which she was a member. Deceased was 78 years old at the time of her death. She had been ailing for some time. She lived with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Balster in Boyden for a number of years. The Reporter extends its sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

From the Alton Democrat, Hull news, December 31, 1921:

Mr. Ben Vos and Mr. Vander Lande his brother-in-law came from Edgerton, Minn., to attend the funeral of the former's mother Mrs. B. Vos who died Saturday Dec. 17. Mrs. Vos has lived for several years with her daughter Mrs. J. M. Bolster at Boyden. She was near 80 years old at the time of her death.

From the Alton Democrat, Hospers news, December 24, 1921:

Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Wierda, Mr. and Mrs. W. Vander Kamp and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Wesselink were called to Boyden on Friday to the bedside of their mother Mrs. Vos. The latter died Saturday evening. She was a woman well advanced in years being 78 years 6 months old. The funeral was held Monday at Boyden. The remains were buried in Hull. The bereaved children have the sympathy of the entire community.

The Boyden Reporter obit is repeated in the Sioux County Index (Hull), December 30, and a separate news note says she was the step-mother of Mrs. Poelakker of Rock Valley.

No one who appears to be her was found in the Sioux County Cemetery Index.
