Hold Last Rites Here Monday for Donald Bonthuis
Funeral services for Donald E. Bonthuis 20 were held on Monday July 16 at the Peace Lutheran church of which he was a member. Rev. C. J. Rebelein officiated and burial was made in the Valley Vire Cemetery. Donald died on July 12 at the Sioux Valley hospital following complications which set in following injuries sustained in an auto accident three months ago.

He was born July 12 1930 at Rock Valley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa Bonthuis. He attended the Rock Valley public schools, graduating in 1948. After graduation Donald worked on farms in the Rock Valley area. He was also a pitcher on the local baseball team. Survivors include his parents, one sister, Esther (Mrs. Lewis Rose) of Sioux Falls, three brothers, Harold of Sioux Falls, Robert and David at home. Pallbearers were Kenneth Plueger, Rodney Miller, John Miller, Kenneth Hansen, Cune Ranschau and Richard Vande Velde.
