Mrs. Mary Freriks passed away at her home on Friday afternoon, November 22, at 2 o’clock at the age of seventy-five years. Mrs. Freriks nee Mary Bausch was born at Waupun, Wisconsin and spent her girlhood days there. She was married to Mr. Dirks Freriks at Waupun in 1882. Short after their marriage they moved to Iowa, settling on a farm south of Orange City. Mr. Freriks passed away in 1895 and Mrs. Freriks and her family moved to Orange City.

The funeral services were held from Van Etten’s Funeral Home Monday afternoon, Reverend J.G. Brouwer officiating. Burial was at Nassau Township Cemetery, Alton.

Surviving are her children, Mrs. G. J. Welter, Lake Wilson, South Dakota; J.D. Freriks, Orange City; Mrs. Oscar Eason, Orange City; Mrs. Jno. Vander Werp, Thornton, Illinois; William Freriks of Sioux City; Mrs. De Vries, Montrose, Iowa, and Miss Dorothy Freriks of Cherokee; one brother, Chris Bausch, of Helena, Montana, and a sister, Miss Sue Bausch of Waupun, Wisconsin.
