Funeral Rites Set Friday Afternoon for John Freriks.

Funeral services for a former Orange City resident, John Freriks, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Van Etten Funeral Home here. Reverend Clyde Johnson will conduct the last rites, and burial will be made in Orange City Cemetery.

Freriks died Tuesday morning at his home in Cherokee. He was 64 years of age.

Born at Orange City on March 31, 1889, Mr. Freriks spent most of his life in and around this community.

He moved to Cherokee six years ago and has since made his home there. He married Clara Vander Meulen Freriks.

Among immediate relatives, surviving are his wife of Cherokee and one son, Stanley, of Fort Collins, Colorado.
