Funeral Services Saturday For Bernard P. Gaspar

Funeral services for Bernard P. Gaspar, 61, of Rock Valley, who died in a hospital Thursday after a long illness, were at 10 a. m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at St. Mary's church here. Rev. Edward Hoffman officiating, and burial was in the St. Joseph cemetery at Granville, la. The rosary was recited at 8. p. m. Friday at the Vander Ploeg funeral home at Rock Valley.

Born at Kingsley, Ia., April 18, 1895, Mr. Gaspar farmed most of his life in the Granville vicinity before moving to Rock Valley about six years ago.
Survivors include two sisters. Miss. Lucy Gaspar of Clare, la., and Mrs. Betty Hynes of Sioux City, and four brothers, Nicholas Gaspar of Rock Valley; L. E. Gaspar of Alton.; J. W. Gaspar of Orient, S. D.; and J. L. Gaspar of Dell Rapids, S. D. Mr. Gaspar was an invalid for 40 years. He was stricken with polio in the fall of 1916.
