OBITUARY MRS. LUCY VAN MAANEN
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Van Maanen, 72, who died Tuesday at a Sioux Center hospital were at 1 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the residence and at 1:30 p. m. at the Christian Reformed church. Rev. H. Van Deelen officiated and burial was under the direction of the Vander PIoeg funeral home of Sioux Center. Mrs. Van Maanen was born August 13, 1884, in The Netherlands. She came to the United States at the age of 4. She was married to Henry Van Maanen in 1903. Her husband died in 1953.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. J. J. Warntjes of Hull, Mrs. W. E. Lyons of Bellflower, Cal., Mrs. K A. Davis of Lomita, Cal., Mrs. Henry Vande Laan of Grants Pass, Ore., Mrs. Joe Hampton of Bell, Cal., Mrs. Clifford Crandall of Downey, Cal., and Mrs. William Post of Orange City; three sons, Albert of Grants Pass, Ore., Gary of Bellflower and Henry J. of Norwalk, Cal., and a brother, Ralph Brunsting of Hull.
