Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. John Y. Mulder who died Friday at the Sioux Center hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Mulder, 69, was a long time Doon resident.

Services were held Monday at the Doon Christian Reformed church with the Rev. John Elenbaas officiating. Burial was in Doon's Hillside Cemetery.

Mrs. Mulder, the former Reka De Young, was born Sept. 14, 1896, at Le Mars Iowa. She was married to John Y Mulder Dec. 27, 1919 at Doon.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Elvin of Doon and Robert of Rock Valley; a daughter, Mildred of Sacremento, CA.; a brother, Gerrit De Young, Sioux Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Rena Kooiker, Chicago; and Mrs. Ruby Clausing, Evanston WY. 8 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
