Ralph W. Finch, 71, Omaha, a former Hawarden resident, died Monday in an Omaha Hospital.

Services were at 1:30 P.M. Thursday in the Dow Funeral Home at Hawarden. Elder Fred Smelser officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Finch was born May 16, 1906, in Union County, South Dakota. He married Esther Carlson October 19, 1927, and they lived in Hawarden area until 1941 when they moved to Omaha.

After his retirement in 1966, Mr. Finch lived at American Fork, Utah, for several years before moving back to Omaha.

Mr. Finch was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include the widow, Esther; three sons, Burton of Omaha, Clifford of American Fork and James of Salt Lake, City, Utah; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Audrey) Simmons of Omaha and Mrs. Wendell (Sharon) Robison of Fillmore, Utah; three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Ester) Carpenter and Mrs. Charles (Ida) Cooper. Both of Hawarden, and Mrs. Orrin (Florence) Larson of Alcester, South Dakota 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
