Mrs. Bert Fikse, 78, of Rock Valley died Monday in a Sioux Center Hospital of a long illness.

Services were held in the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley, the Reverend Joel Beeke officiated. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Fikse, the former Effie Hup, was born May 21, 1901. She was married in August, 1940. Mr. Bert Fikse died in 1951. Survivors include seven nephews and nieces.
