Services for Alfonso Thayer, 80, were held Tuesday at the Porter Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Roloff of the Methodist Church officiating. Mr. Thayer had farmed in the Rock Valley area since 1935.

Survivors include a son, Robert of Rock Valley and two daughters, Mrs. Ogden Childers of Sanborn, and Mrs. Robert Taylor of Pueblo, CO.
