Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelius Ver Hoef, 83, who died Friday at an Orange City hospital after a long illness were held on Monday with the Rev. Clarence Greving officiating.

Mrs. Ver Hoef was married to Cornelius Ver Hoef August 21, 1905. He died in 1945. She was a long time resident of Sioux County.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Miller of Paullina, Ia; and Mrs. Kenneth Scholten of Bellflower, CA; three sons, Orville of Sheldon, Ia; Walter of Long Beach, CA; and Matthew of Santa Ana, CA; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers. The surviving sisters and brothers are Mrs. Peter Dethmers of Grand Rapids, MI; Mrs. Richard Vande Vegte of Rock Valley, Mrs. Bert Vander Schaaf of Sheboygan, Wis; and Mrs. Henry Huibregtse of Hull, Mrs. Dick Vogel of Bemidji, MN; Mr. John De Roos of Rock Rapids, and Mr. Andrew De Roos of San Leandro, CA.

One sister Mrs. Isaac Clarebout of Cedar Grove, Wis. and one brother Mrs. Frank De Roos of East Lansing, MI, preceded her in death.
