Relatives in Boyden received the sad news Monday that Mr. Anthony Smit, 52 of Redlands, CA. had passed away Monday June 29th following a heart attack.

The funeral service will be held Friday July 3rd at Redlands.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, the former Lydia Grooters; two daughters, (Laura) Mrs. Paul Dingeman of Pella Iowa and Miss Bonnie of Redlands; and two sons, Russell and Ralph, both of Redlands; and two grandchildren; His mother, Mrs. Ring Smit; one brother, Ray; and one sister (Josie) Mrs. Joe Flihr, all of Boyden, also survive.

Relatives from this area who left Tues. for Ca. to attend the services were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smit and Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Grooters of Boyden; Ray Grooters of Sanborn; Mrs. Henry Vanden Bosch of Fertile, IA; and Arie Grooters of Clarksfield, MN.
