Funeral services for Mrs. John Humme of Hull, who passed away at her home Sat. morning at the age of 81 years, were held Tues. at 1:00 p.m. from the First Reformed Church, with the Rev. Harold C. Ringenoddus officiating.

Pall Bearers were Peter Humme, James Humme, John M. Humme, Arlan Van Wyk, Dennis Van Wyk, and Delmar Slykhuis. Organist was Mrs. Elsie Koele and special numbers, "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Does Jesus Care?" were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Willis Brower.

Interment was in Hope Cemetery at Hull with arrangements by Kraai Funeral Home.

Mrs. John Humme, nee Nellie Van Sloten, was born at Nunspeet, Netherlands on May 30, 1883 and came to the United States at the age of ten.

She was a faithful member of the First Reformed Church for 61 years, and for many years an active member and officer of othe Mission and Aid Society.

On Dec. 3, 1903 she was married to John Humme and to this union four children were born.

Surviving are her husband; two sons and two daughters, Arnold of Hull, Wm. of Boyden, Dena at home, and Coba, (Mrs. John Van Wyk) of Sanborn, IA; and a foster daughter, Margaret Styf of Wahpeton, North Dakota; and 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Vander Sluis of Granger, Washington; Mrs. Henry Mulder of Twin Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Frank De Graaff of Rock Valley, and Mrs. Josie Kuyper of Boyden; one brother, John Van Sloten of Doon.
Two brothers, Lambert and William, and one grandchild preceded her in death.
