Funeral arrangements were not completed late Wed. for Terry De Raad, 8 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur DeRaad of Boyden, who was killed outright in a one-car accident on the overhead just east of Boyden Wed. morning about 8:45 o'clock.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sheldon.

Mrs. DeRaad, accompanied by Mrs. Marvin Breuer, also of Boyden, were taking little Terry to a doctor's office in Sheldon, and on to Sioux City where the boy was to have been hospitalized for a heart condition. The car skidded on the frosty pavement and struck the bridge railing, completely demolishing the car, and throwing Terry out onto the pavement.

The Vander Ploeg ambulance was called and took Mrs. DeRaad and Mrs. Breuer to the hospital at Sheldon where they were both reported in only "fair" condition Wed. afternoon.

Terry is survived by his parents, four brothers and one sister, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit VanSurksum of Rock Valley and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry DeRaad of Boyden.
