From the Alton Democrat, November 20, 1920: Rock Valley news:

John Hamstra, who recently came here from Holland, but who intends to go to Montana to live, but on the advice of a friend stopped here, had the misfortune to lose their eleven months old child, it being afflicted with the measles, Nov. 11th. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Saturday afternoon by Rev. H. Kuiper, pastor of the Christian Reformed church. Interment took place in Valley View cemetery.

(The Nov. 19th Rock Valley Bee is missing. There does not appear to be an entry for this child in the Sioux County Cemetery Index.)
