PIONEER RESIDENT CALLED TO THE GREAT BEYOND

The community was greatly shocked early Tuesday morning to learn of the accidental death of Mrs. John Eulberg. At about 10:30 P.M. Monday she arose to attend to one of the younger boys and while trying to light the lamp at the head of the stairway, in some unknown way, misstepped and fell to the bottom of the stairs where she was found by the other members of the family who heard the noise of the fall. Medical aid was summoned immediately and everything was done that human hands could do, but to no avail, she passed away on Tuesday A.M.

Margaret Eulberg nee Moos was born on the 18th day of July, 1861, at Holy Cross, Wisconsin, where she grew to girlhood. She came with her parents, Dominic and Margarethe Moos, to Hospers, Iowa, where they resided for a few years, then coming to Granville.

Margaret Moos married John Eulberg on March 25, 1889 and this union was blessed with seven children, six of whom remain to morn the loss of a kind and loving Mother.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Church on Thursday, July 23, 1914 at 9 A.M. by Father Achatz. Burial was at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Besides her husband, John, she leaves to mourn children, Peter, Kathryn, Marie, Henry, Edward and Adam, all living at home. One sister, Mrs. Domnick Berg, two brothers, Peter Moos and Barney Moos.
