Death of Mrs. L. A. Bailey
Mrs. L. A. Bailey of Sioux City, a former Ireton resident for 55 years, passed away Sunday from dropsy.
Funeral services were held at 1 o'-clock Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. W. V. Bell of Hawarden in charge. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Elizabeth Decker was born on February 9, 1865, at Pittsburg, Pa. In 1878, she came with her parents to Plymouth county, where she was married to Lincoln A. Bailey on January 9, 1881. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last January. Survivors are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Wrn. Vliek, and a son, Harold Bailey, of Sioux City; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
