Ireton—Funeral service were held at Ireton Wednesday afternoon for Lincoln A. Bailey, Sioux City, former resident of Ireton for 55 years. Rev. George Dunn, pastor of the First Methodist church in Sioux City, officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Ireton. Pallbearers were Fred Kluter, Frank Noon, A. W. Bartlett, Henry Braaks, C. C. Wills and Mike Tiernan. Mrs. James Brown of Ames and her sister, Mrs. George Rose, sang, "Abide With Me" and "Rock of Ages," accompanied by Mr., A. W. Bartlett.

Attending the service from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Vliek, their daughter and son-in-law, Mae Kidson and daughters, Mr. and,Mrs. Bob Melton, Harold Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Irwin and E. A. Lindenman of Sionx City, Mr. and Mrs. Mont Fullerton, Frank Scott and Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Jones of. Hawarden.

(Lincoln Bailey was born 1861 died 22 Dec 1947 Iowa married 9 Jan 1881 to Elizabeth Decker. He was the son of John Moffet Bailey and Emila Jan Stoddard. Children were Albert 1881-1922 , John 1886-1922; Verne 1892-1893, Harold 1898 – 1954; Bernice 1902-1960. )
