Hermina "Minnie" Brinks, 97, of Sheldon and formerly of Boyden, died November 24 at Oak Park Care Center in Sheldon. Services were 1:30 p.m. Nov. 27, at the First Reformed Church in Boyden with the Reverend Mark Volkers Officiating. Burial was in the Boyden Cemetery.

Minnie was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit (Berendena Vreeman) Bosman. She was born March 26, 1894 in Bathmen, Netherlands and came to America in 1900. She married George Brinks December 28, 1916 in Boyden. He died April 15, 1958.

Mrs. Brinks lived most of her life in Boyden and in 1975 moved to the Christian Retirement Home in Sheldon and lived there until January, 1991 when she moved to the Oak Park Care Center. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Boyden.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Joan (Mrs. Andy Wolthuizen) and Georgiann (Mrs. Alvin Holtrop), both of Sheldon; Mrs, John Scholten of Boyden; Hermina (Mrs. Abe Schiebout) of Pipestone, Minnesota; 2 sons and their wives, John and Marie of Redlands, California, and Gerrit and Henrietta of Slayton, Minnesota; 1 sister, Mrs. Bertha Moret of Boyden; 24 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter, 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 7 sisters.
