Henry J. Brinks Buried Monday At Orange City

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Orange City for Mr. Henry Brinks who died suddenly August 23 from a heart attack while visiting his daughter at Los Angeles. Reverend Colenbrander pastor of the First Reformed Church, had charge of the services and interment was made in the Orange City Cemetery.

Mr. Brinks had been vacationing for several weeks touring the west. He had gone first to Denver, Colorado, for hay fever treatment and then he and his wife and daughter Adeline went to Los Angeles to visit his daughter, Mrs, Maurice Shields, before returning to Orange City.

Henry Brinks was born April 16, 1886, to Jan and Wilhelmina (Pennings) Brinks at Orange City. In 1909 he was united in marriage to Miss Christina Rouwenhorst who with two daughters, Mrs. Maurice Shields and Adeline at home, survive him. One small daughter passed away many years ago. Besides his immediate family he is survived by one sister, Mrs. John Schoep, and by two half brothers, John and Gerrit Ter Horst all of Orange City.

Mrs. Shields accompanied the body of her father to Orange City by train and arrived there Sunday evening. Mr. Shields drove the Brinks car back accompanied by Mrs. Brinks and Adeline.
