Mrs. E. F. Councilman died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. Van Peursem, Monday morning. Since she came to live with her daughter five weeks ago it was known that the dread disease cancer had claimed her for a victim. Her sufferings at times were intense, all of which she bore with patience and Christian fortitude. Mrs. Councilman was a sincere Christian and in circles where she was sell known her helpful presence will l be sadly missed.

Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Winter. Interment was made at LeMars Wednesday. We wish to assure the bereaved relatives and especially the aged husband of our sincere sympathy.
