Services held for John T. De Jong John T. De Jong, 79, of Sioux City died on Tuesday, December 15 at a Sioux City Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 18,10:00 a.m. in the American Reformed Church in Orange City with the Rev. Russell Olsen, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City officiating. Burial was in West. Lawn Cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral home in charge. Special music was provided by Rev. Arthur De Hoogh. Pallbearers were Onno Jellema, Thomas 0. De Jong, Thomas Noteboom, Thomas I. De Jong, Thomas G. De Jong and Arthur E. De Jong.

Mr. De Jong was born November 15, 1891 in Sioux County. He married Nellie Druyvesteyn November 28,
1911 in Orange City, She died April 10, ,1926. He married Helen Johnson November 17, 1961 in Sioux City. Mr. De Jong was employed by Booth and Olson Construction Co. for 29 years.

Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Mrs. George Sieble of Sioux City; four sons, Thomas and Frank, both of Orange City, Earl of Rock Valley and Ivan of Sioux City. Three brothers, Gerben and Edward both of Hull and Thomas of Platte, So. Dak.; two sisters, Mrs. John Jellema of Sioux Falls and Mrs. John Reinders of Orange City; 13 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren
