Rites at Maurice For Hubert De Jong
Funeral services for Hubert A. De Jong, 78, of Maurice were held Tuesday at the Maurice Reformed church. Mr. De Jong died Sunday at the Sioux Center hospital after suffering a stroke Saturday.

Mr. De Jong was married March 9, 1911 at Orange City to Mary Mouw and the couple resided on farms in the Maurice, Newkirk and Boyden vicinities. They retired to Maurice in 1950. Surviving are the widow and a daughter, Mrs. Henry Wielenga of Orange City; a brother of Paullina; two sisters, Mrs. Tillie Duven and Miss Bertha De Jong of Orange City; and five grandchildren.
