Elizabeth De Jong. Mrs. H. K. De Jong age 92, of Orange City passed away Tuesday Feb 12 at the heritage House in Orange City where she had resided the past twelve years. Elizabeth was born April 2, 1887 at Maurice the daughter of Gerrit Van Horssen and Hattie Somsen. On March 14, 1905 she married Henry Koenrad De jong. He passed away in April 1964. They farmed east of Orange City until 1917, when they moved into town.

Mrs. De Jong was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City and its Dorcas Society.
Survivors include one son. Orville. of Orange City: 4 grandchildren. 10 great-grandchildren: and
one sister. Mrs. Henry F. (Nell) DeHaan. of Orange City. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son. Milo, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Funeral services were held Thursday. Feb. 14. At the Van Elten-Oolman Funeral Home in Orange
City. Tile Rev. Frank Snuttjer of the First Reformed Church officiated Interment was at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Mr. Ronald J. De Jong sang "Wonderful Peace" and "What a Friend."
accompanied by Mrs. Earl De Jong. Casket bearers were Carrie Van Horssen. Bernard De Jong, Nelson
Newcndorp. Franklin De Haan. Tony Cleveringa. and Hubert Noteboom.
