Mrs. Ulbe De Jong died Sunday, Jan. 1 at the home of Geo. Stange. She was born in the Netherlands, Feb. 2, 1873. Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Stange home at 1:30 p.m. and two o'clock from the First Reformed Church in charge of Rev. N. Rozeboom.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. George Stange, one son Cornie De Jong, one grandson, two great grandchildren, one brother Case Elbers, all of Hull and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Huissen of Sioux Falls, S. D.

(According to the 1925 Iowa Census Ulbe De Jong was 50 born about 1875, born in Holland, parents were Ulbe De Jong and Elizabeth Dykstra, his wife was Elizabeth Elberts/Elbers 49, dau of Hendrik Elberts and Annie Pering. They had two children Cornie 29 and Anne 19. )
