Peter L. Bouma aged nearly eighty-fours years died at the home of son O. P. Bouma near Hull last Saturday morning, from diabetes, from which he had been suffering only a few days.

Mr. Bouma was born January 6th, 1840 in the province of Friesland, Netherlands. At the age of thirty years he was united in marriage to Miss Bertha De Vries. To this union eight children were born three of them dying in infancy. Mrs. Bouma died here at Hull ten years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Bouma came to this country in the spring of 1882 settling at Grand Rapids, Michigan, where they resided for four years. The balance of their lives were spent in Sioux County, Iowa.

The survivors are Bert and O. P. of Hull, Henry of Inwood, and Dick and Gerby of Rock Valley. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon, from the Christian Reformed church. Reverend J. J. Weersing officiating.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved family in their hour of sadness.
