NB. Agnes' headstone mentiones Bouma Sorgdrager. In fact she was married to Lawrence Baer,
Lawrence's mother divorced Ernest Baer and remarried John Sorgdrager.

Died At Joplin Suddenly After Visit At Alton

Mrs. Lawrence Sorgdrager died at her home at Joplin, Missouri, last Friday morning, October 12, at 9 o’clock, after a short illness thought to have been caused by eating a chicken sandwich.

Funeral services, to be held at Orange City, had not yet been set awaiting word from her husband.

For a number of years Lawrence has been traveling over many states and had not been located to be informed of his wife’s sudden death at last report. Efforts are still being made to find him just as quickly as possible.

Mrs. Sorgdrager was the daughter of Mr. Joute and Agnes (Ottema) Bouma of Orange City and only last week had returned home from a visit at Alton and Orange City.

Lawrence is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sorgdrager of Alton. They had made their home at Joplin for the past ten years or so.

Mrs. Sorgdrager was 33 years of age.
