Charles Ballard of Chico, Cal., spent Sunday, in the city while accompanying the remains of a brother C. Ballard from the southland to the old home at Hull for interment. The deceased gentleman was for several years the proprietor of the restaurant now conducted by Charles Myers, and was well and favorably known in the city. Mrs. Adelaide Ballard of Hull, well known throughout the state as an earnest temperance advocate and an enthusiastic suffragist, is his mother. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved friends and relatives.
