Wm. Pereboom passed away at the home of his son in Struble the 23d of February, from weakness and debility incident to old age. Mr. Pereboom was born in Holland in 1827 and at the time of his death was 82 years, 3 months and 27 days old. He with his family emigrated to America a great many years ago and settled on a farm south of town and some twelve years ago left the farm, settling in Ireton, where he lived ten years or until the death of his wife some two years ago. After her death he broke up housekeeping and has since lived with his children. He is survived by several sons and two daughters. The funeral was held Monday from the German Lutheran church and the services were conducted by Rev. Schmidt and interment was made in the Ireton cemetery.
