Ed De Jager Passes on
Ed De Jager passed away Friday, Dec 20 at the Grossmann Hospital after a brief hospitalization of 2 days. Mr. De Jager was born on Sept 7, 1876 and had reached the age of 81 years, 3 months and 13 days. He was married to Minnie Jansma in the year 1900. They were the parents of 5 children, one of whom died in infancy.

Surviving are his widow Minnie, 3 daughters and 1 son: Grace (Mrs. John Muyskens) of Orange City; Pierce De Jager of Orange City; Mildred ( Mrs. Vernon Schoep) of Orange City; Lois ( Mrs. Ivan Stienstra) of Spencer. There are 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Three brothers survive; Martin and Ring De Jager of Orange City, and Peter De Jager of Carmel.

Funeral service was held Monday afternoon at the Frist ref. Church with Rev. Henry Colenbrander officiating. Interment was made in the Orange City cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral home.
