Edna M. De Jager
Mrs. Edna De Jager, age 83, of Orange City, passed away Wednesday, October 16 at her residence. Edna Mae was born October 2, 1908, at Alton, the daughter of Herman and Minnie (Kleinhesselink) Schreur. At the age of twelve, her family moved to Orange City. On January 1, 1930, she married Pierce De Jaeger at Orange City. They farmed southwest of Orange City until 1971, when they retired into town. Mr. De Jager passed away July 19; 1986 at Orange City. Mrs. De Jager was a member of • the First Reformed Church of Orange City and the Lydia Circle of the church.

Survivors include her two sons, Don and his wife, Norma, of Le Mars; and Harold and his wife, Bev, of Orange City; and four grandchildren, Dawn, Dan, Deb, and Kristi. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Schreur, and sister, Esther Stander.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 18, at the First Reformed Church of Orange City with the Revs. Henry Poppen and Steven Vander Molen officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City
