Mrs. D. (Dirk) De Cook, nee Vander Meide, died Monday morning at about 3 o’clock at the age of 81 years and 11 months. She is survived by three sons, John and P. De Cook, north of town , and R. De Cook of Orange City. Six children died while still young. Her husband died about 17 years ago. There are besides two brothers and one sister. Wm. and C. Vogelaar, of this town and Mrs. A. Van Marle at Pella. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 in the house and at 2 o’clock from the First Reformed church.
