John De Bruin Jr. of Sheldon died at his home Friday evening at the age of 31 years 3 months and 21 days. He was born at Hospers Jun 23, 1903 where he spent his boyhood. He attended the Hospers high school and graduated with the class of 1921. Six years ago he was married to Margaret Dorothy Mulder. Daughter of A. Mulder the couple moving to Sheldon after their marriage. He is survived by the widow and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. De Bruin and three brothers and two sisters namely Ed of Denver Co, Marie Mrs. L. Leutenbach of Des Moines, Ellis of Hopsers, Eunice of Sheldon and William of Sheldon.

He was a devoted member of the First Bef. church of Sheldon. His health had been poor for the past four or more years. He was well known around here, having spent his childhood days here. Funeral arrangements had been made by the deceased while on his sick bed. He chose his friends whom he associated with to act as pallbearers. Services were held Monday at 1 o’clock at the homes in Sheldon and at 2 o’clock at the First Ref church at Hospers with Rev. Vis of Sheldon and M. A. Stegeman officiating. Interment took place at the cemetery west of Hospers.
