Mr. Bomgaars was born to Nicholas and Margriet A. (Vander Wilt) Bomgaars, April 24, 1891 at Middleburg, Sioux County, Iowa. He married Frances Ver Steeg. They had two children: Marguerite and Margaret J. Bomgaars. He had five brothers: Marinus, Antonie, Gerrit, Joe, and Henry, and two sisters: Tracy and Nellie.
He was buried at Hope Cemetery, Hull, Sioux County, Iowa.
