Death: July 5, 1943Harriet "Harrit" Boonstra, 81 passed away Monday, July 5 after a lingering illness of cancer, of which he was hospitalized for 6 weeks.
He was born in the Netherlands on August 31, 1862 and came to America in the year 1908 settling in Orange City. He was a carpenter by trade,
In the year 1890 he was married to Miss Pietje Postma who survives him.
A daughter, Gertrude, Mrs. Chester Van Peursem of Maurice is the only living child, 1 son preceded his father in death 8 years ago.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:15 at the home and at the First Christian Reformed Church at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be made in the Orange City Cemetery.
